Industrial Hearing Screening
Industrial Hearing Screening
There are two general types of industrial hearing screening arranged for individuals by their employers.
Industrial hearing screening is required in a variety of jobs, which generally involve exposure to a high level of noise and where hearing protection is required to be provided by the employer.
The hearing screen needs to be performed for new employees within three months of their starting work and then at least every two years for all exposed employees.
Some larger workplaces have their hearing screening performed on-site. Where this is not available, pre-employment hearing screening can be arranged at Wangaratta Audiology.
We also have some small businesses that choose to arrange their reviews with us each two years.
Full diagnostic testing with an audiologist is required when a significant deterioration has been observed between successive hearing screenings.
This full assessment can be arranged at Wangaratta Audiology.
